Wolfgang Tolle

General Manager of the WaveLight GmbH

A native of East-Westfalia in Germany, he has many years experience in the US market as well as detailed knowledge of the WaveLight group. From August 1, 2006 to January 31, 2008, as CEO of the US subsidiary WaveLight, Inc., he was responsible for the corporate development of the WaveLight subsidiary, where, first and foremost, he carried out a vigorous expansion of the sales, service and marketing activities in the USA, bringing the US subsidiary back onto its growth path.

Before taking up his activities for the WaveLight group in the US, Wolfgang Tolle initially directed the product and software development of the Internet service provider Cyveillance as Technical Director, followed by commercial operations as the company’s co-CEO. Subsequently, as CEO of Launchdreams LLC in Ashburn, Virginia, he supported international companies by their market entry in the USA.

The General Manager successfully completed his computer science studies at the University of Dortmund, which was followed by a number of years in scientific research at the same institute. After his scientific work, he switched to the Quantum Society for Software, where, amongst other things, he was responsible for the areas of software development and business development.

Mr Tolle gained his comprehensive knowledge of the US market as Chairman of the Washington branch of the “German National Research Center for Customer Science” between June 1990 and April 1993. In April 1993 his career development led him to “Virginia’s Center for Innovative Technology”, where he stayed until December 1999, and amongst other things, as President, played a decisive role in the restructuring of the organisation.
